I use hypnosis to increase the sticking power of your breakthroughs. Many people misunderstand what hypnosis is and what it can do. In short, it can speed up your learning and development at a deep level that can change your life. What can take days of training to set new patterns can take as little as an hour.

If you're skeptical, you're not alone. Most people are and I was, too! I'm a scientist at heart with medical training, so I first made sure hypnosis had clearly been shown in clinical trials to work (you can read more here). For example, in A meta-analysis of hypnotically induced analgesia: How effective is hypnosis?, a "Meta-analysis of 18 studies revealed a moderate to large hypnoanalgesic effect, supporting the efficacy of hypnotic techniques for pain management... Hypnotic suggestion was equally effective in reducing both clinical and experimental pain."

Consultation FAQs

  1. What kind of consultations do you do?
    I offer a variety of leadership and management consulting services informed by my MBA-driven training. What really sets my services apart is the expertise I've developed in Service Leadership education from my work with Po Chung. If appropriate, I can also apply hypnotherapy tools.
  2. What is hypnosis?
    Hypnosis is a scientifically-validated practice that uses focused attention and concentration to reach results. Hypnosis can put you into a state of deep relaxation or hypnotic trance that can powerfully help you reach your goals.
  3. Do people under hypnosis lose control or their free will?
    Being in a trance leaves you both fully relaxed and mentally alert. You're in total control of your actions and what's happening – you can easily 'snap out of it' like how you are when you're day dreaming. When you're in a trance, suggestions you already believe in can have more power. Nothing about the hypnosis robs you of your free will and decision-making power.
  4. Can I be hypnotized if I don't want it to happen?
    No. No one can put you in a trance if you're not into it. Hypnosis doesn't work if you don't want it to. Some people are easy to hypnotize because they feel comfortable enough to 'daydream with a trusted partner'. The only way to move from simple relaxation to proper hypnosis is if you let it happen.
  5. How many sessions will I need?
    Like all things, the effect that hypnosis has on your life is for you to decide. It can take one session or a few to make sure your new behaviours are set. If you need to break a bad habit (e.g. overeating, smoking, insomnia, etc.), it may take a few sessions to stick.
